Version 2.2

Version 2.2 revises version 2.1 of 3 August 2026. One word in section 4.1 changed, so that the description of Caps no longer asserts a feature the app is not currently showing. Nothing else changed: the liability, disclaimer, acceptable-use, age and governing-law provisions stand as they did in version 2 of 14 May 2026. The changes are listed in section 12.

1.About these Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Sentra mobile application, the website at www.sentra.city, and any related services (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by SQUARE3 Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16466339 with its registered office at 92 York Street, London, England, W1H 1QX (“Sentra”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By creating an account, downloading the app, or using the Service in any way (including in anonymous mode), you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, you must stop using the Service. These Terms explain how you may use the Service, what we provide, and your rights and responsibilities.

2.Definitions

  • “Account” means the user account you create to access paid or verified features of the Service.
  • “Content” means any information, text, image, video, location data, route, or submission made to the Service by a user.
  • “spot” means the shared daily destination the Service places on the map for a defined group of users.
  • “Cap” means a pickup placed on the map that a user collects by being physically present at its location.

3.Eligibility and accounts

3.1 Minimum age

You must be at least 18 years old to create an Account or otherwise use the Service. If you are under 18, you may not use the Service, and any Account you create may be suspended or deleted.

3.2 Anonymous mode

You may view publicly visible information without an Account (“anonymous mode”). Anonymous mode is subject to these Terms but does not grant access to submissions, route planning, alerts, or any paid features.

3.3 Account information

You agree to provide accurate account information when registering, and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your Account. Notify us immediately at legal@sentra.city if you suspect unauthorised access.

3.4 Identity verification

Some features may require identity verification through an approved third-party provider. If so, your use of those features is subject to our Privacy Policy.

3.5 One account per person

Each individual may only hold one personal Account.

4.The Service: what Sentra does and does not do

4.1 What Sentra is

Sentra is a walking application for pedestrians. Its spot features place a shared daily destination on the map for a defined group of users, may place Caps that a user collects by walking to them, set daily quests, record a two-sided co-walk streak that only advances when two users walk together, and offer walking routes inside the app.

The Service may also aggregate and display Content submitted by users and crowdsourced ratings of routes, areas, and times of day.

4.2 What Sentra is NOT

Read this one

Sentra is an information service. It is not an emergency service. It is not a security service. It is not a substitute for your own judgement.

Always call 999 (or 101 for non-emergencies) for any crime in progress, medical emergency, or immediate threat to life. Do not use Sentra as a substitute for emergency services.

  • Information shown in the Service may be inaccurate, incomplete or outdated.
  • Any information about an area or route is informational only and not a guarantee.
  • The absence of a submission relating to an area does not mean that area is safe.
  • You remain solely responsible for your own safety, your route choices, and your decisions while using the Service.

4.3 Service availability

We aim to make the Service available 24/7 but do not guarantee uptime. The Service may be unavailable for maintenance, due to third-party outages (Mapbox, Google Cloud), or for any other reason. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time.

5.User-generated content

5.1 Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for any Content you submit. By submitting Content, you confirm that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you have the right to share it, and that it does not break the law or harm anyone. You must not:

  • submit false or misleading submissions;
  • post unlawful, abusive or defamatory content;
  • identify private individuals without lawful justification;
  • upload content you do not have rights to use;
  • use the platform to harass, threaten or target others.

5.2 Licence to Sentra

You keep ownership of content you submit, but give us permission to use, display, store and process it as needed to operate and improve the Service.

5.3 Moderation

We may, but are not obliged to, moderate, edit, redact, suspend, or remove any Content at our sole discretion, including (but not limited to) Content that:

  • violates section 5.1;
  • is reported by other users as inaccurate or harmful;
  • is the subject of a takedown request under section 5.4 or 5.5;
  • in our reasonable opinion creates legal risk to Sentra or its users.

We may review, remove or restrict content that breaches these Terms or creates risk for users or the Service.

5.4 Takedown / right to reply

If you believe content is unlawful or infringes your rights, contact us with enough detail for us to investigate.

5.5 Police and lawful disclosure

We may disclose information where required by law or where necessary to prevent serious harm.

6.Acceptable use

You must not, and must not permit any third party to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
  • interfere with the platform’s operation, security, or integrity;
  • scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically download Content from the Service except via our official API under a written licence;
  • misuse data obtained through the Service or use the Service to track, surveil, or stalk any individual;
  • use the Service in any way that breaches our Privacy Policy.

7.Intellectual property

The Service (excluding user Content) — including the Sentra name, logos, software, design, database structure, and aggregated analytics — is owned by Sentra or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and database-right law in the UK and other jurisdictions. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on a device you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.

8.Third-party services

The Service incorporates the following third-party services. Your use is also subject to their terms:

  • Mapbox — maps, geocoding and routing
  • Google Cloud Platform (UK, London region) — infrastructure
  • Firebase (Google) — authentication and push notifications

We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or terms of third parties.

9.Termination

9.1 By you

You may delete your Account at any time from in-app settings, or by emailing legal@sentra.city. Deletion triggers the data-handling steps described in our Privacy Policy.

9.2 By us

We may suspend or close accounts where reasonably necessary, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, your use creates risk to other users or to Sentra, you have submitted false Content, or we are required to do so by law.

9.3 Effect of termination

On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections 5.2 (licence to Sentra), 6 (acceptable use), 10 (disclaimer), 11 (limitation of liability), 14 (governing law), and any other provisions which by their nature should survive will continue in force.

10.Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation.

We specifically do not warrant that:

  • Content submitted by users is accurate;
  • the Service will identify all hazards or unsafe conditions;
  • routes suggested by the Service are safe;
  • the Service will be available at all times or in all locations;
  • the Service is free of errors, bugs, or security vulnerabilities.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under English law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully limited.

11.Limitation of liability

Subject to section 10, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential loss; loss of profits, business, goodwill, or data; or any loss arising from your reliance on Content posted by other users.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you under or in connection with these Terms (whether in contract, tort, statute, or otherwise) is limited to the greater of (a) £100, or (b) the total amount you have paid to Sentra in connection with the Service in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

12.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material (for example, a change to billing, liability, or your data rights), we will notify you at least 30 days before it takes effect, in-app and by email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept a material change, you may close your Account before it takes effect.

What changed in version 2.2 (14 August 2026):

  • Section 4.1 now says the Service may place Caps, rather than that it does. Caps are not currently shown in the app. This is a clarification of an existing description, not a change to billing, liability or your data rights, and so is not a material change under this section.

What changed in version 2.1 (3 August 2026):

  • Section 2 defines “spot” and “Cap”.
  • Section 4.1 describes the spot walking features.

No other section was changed in either version. The age floor, disclaimers, limitation of liability, acceptable-use rules and governing law are as they stood in version 2 of 14 May 2026.

13.Notices and contact

  • General support: legal@sentra.city
  • Postal address: 92 York Street, London, England, W1H 1QX, United Kingdom

We will send notices to you using the email associated with your Account or by in-app message.

14.Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes) are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

You and Sentra agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident outside England and Wales, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer-protection laws of that country.

15.Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms for paid features, are the entire agreement between you and Sentra.
  • Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Third-party rights. Except where expressly stated, no person other than you and Sentra has any right to enforce these Terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

Appendix A — Apple App Store additional terms

If you download the app from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply between you and Apple Inc.:

  • These Terms are between you and Sentra, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
  • Sentra (not Apple) is responsible for any product-liability, statutory, or third-party claims relating to the app.
  • You represent that (a) you are not in a country subject to a US Government embargo, and (b) you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
